Romney Fiber Braid
The Romney fleece is unique among all breeds of sheep because it combines several important traits from other breeds. The fleece is lustrous; it hangs in several locks. It is easy to spin and the crimp is uniform across the sheep which makes the wool have less variation throughout the fleece.
Romney wool has the finest fiber diameter of all the long-wool breeds.
Our Romney has a micron count of 32-34 which makes it easy to spin but is also ideal for several other fiber arts applications.
We Hand-Dye all of our fiber in Ohio.
